Now I am able to build gimp under MSYS including python support!

It’s nice to see others are also dealing with getting gnome stuff built on Windows. I am looking forward to build glom with this.

I don’t think it is necessary/worthwile to remove the msys dependency. msys is just the build system, the built binaries do not depend on it anymore. It is probably hard to execute configure scripts without it.
