Seriously, I think this is the most usefull and powerfull gnome-project I know.

Do you communicate a lot with opensync developpers? Because I think opensync is still quite buggy at the moment, particularly concerning imrc and syncml plugins, and I am just wondering how you are going to integrate with opensync.

[Yes, there is ongoing discussion with opensync]

By the way I have to tell you:
you will be happy to know that there is an article about conduit in the last issue of our french mag linux-pratique. See there: http://www.linux-pratique.com/index.php?2007/10/19/53-linux-pratique-n44-en-kiosque-des-le-26-octobre

I got the latest SVN conduit, and while it seems like I can "fake" n800 support by using SSH and GnomeVFS, I don't see the N800 plugins you show in your screenshot. Is there something that I'm missing that allows that? Do I have to have the device plugged in before I'm able to see those options?

[Yes]

Thanks for your help! The software looks really slick, and I look forward to OpenSync integration (since I use OpenSync and rsync right now to handle my N800 syncing needs)

I read that you want to access a sqlite database from python. You should really have a look at Storm, it is very easy to use, very fast. The people who have used it here at work are speaking highly of it :-) It was originally developed at Canonical for use with Launchpad.

Very cool work John, looking forward integrating this with Canola, when our new platform has matured a bit more. I unfortunately didn't get my speech accepted for linux.conf.au, so unfortunately I won't be seeing you there. But if you know of any other conference where they might be interested in hearing about how we [INdT] develop software for embedded devices, I would gladly give speeches and we would have the chance of getting together and discuss how to proceed.

Cheers and thanks for the good work,
Kenneth
